Solitude’s first-ever pond skim was a huge success and has us counting the days until next year. A million thanks to our mountain ops team for building such a classy pond at the bottom of Main Street run. It was lined with three layers of plastic (hello, SLCo watershed!) and measured roughly 100’ long by 30’ wide. With water temperatures hovering between 35 and 42 degrees, competitors were motivated to complete their runs! The skims were breathtaking; the costumes were fabulous; the crashes and splashes were spectacular. This event is sure to become a favorite annual tradition at Solitude.

We have three weeks left to ski and a spring storm brewing in the forecast! What better time for locals to plan a staycation and jump-start up their skills before we switch to summer mode? Details below.

With warmer temps, soft snow, and sunny skies, spring is the ideal time to learn to ski or snowboard. For Utah residents this spring, we are offering a special package for $99.50 a person. This stay-and-learn deal gets you a one-night stay at The Inn at Solitude, a beginner lesson, beginner lift tickets, and equipment rental.

Get in on this before we call it a season May 1!
