March Storms

Spring storms have arrived along with fun March events! February ended with warm, sunny weather, but storm clouds have made a comeback. March is traditionally our snowiest month, and we’re off to a great start. We’ve grabbed 35 inches of new snow since March 1, refreshing the mountain and giving us a great start to spring.

Spring Lift Hours

The clocks have sprung forward, and our spring hours of operation are in effect. 8:00 a.m. lifts are now finished for the season. Moving forward, all lifts open at 9:00 a.m. Moonbeam Express, Apex Express, and Link stay open until 5:00 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

March Events

March brings plenty of great events your way, including live music, skills clinics, naturalist tours, and holiday activities like the St. Patrick’s Day Treasure Hunt.

Attention park riders: don’t miss the Soli Parks Steel Showdown on March 22. Our park crew will be setting up rails and other features outside of Last Chance Lodge for some fun and friendly competition. Demonstrate your skills for spectators at Last Chance and win great prizes.

And we are pleased to announce the return of Red Bull Cascade on March 28 – 29. Bobby Brown is back to produce another creative freeride course. The action moves from Powderhorn to Sunrise this year and will once again combine natural terrain elements with manmade jumps and park features. Spectators are welcome! Come and see world-class skiers and riders in action.

Celebrating Women at Solitude

March is Women’s History Month, and we’ve been celebrating at Solitude.

The North Face was here for International Women’s Day on March 8, skiing laps, showing films, and enjoying après with our local mountain ladies. See some of the highlights on Solitude social media.

We are also proud to continue our Women on Weekends program into the spring. Connect with other female skiers and riders and our talented coaches for adventure on the slopes.

Solitude has a fantastic community of female skiers and riders, including talented women in key leadership positions at the resort. Women are essential to our industry, both as guests and as leaders. Please take some time this month to reflect on the women in your life who have helped shaped your skiing and riding, served as role models, and left an impression on you!
