Get ready for the latest and greatest on getting to and around Solitude. Amber Broadaway, president & COO, talks about Solitude’s many transportation options and reveals new benefits.

We have a new complimentary overnight ski and snowboard check for Ikon Pass and Solitude season pass holders. It is located on the bottom level of the Snowsports building at the Moonbeam base area. Ikon Pass and Solitude season pass holders can leave one pair of skis or one snowboard for up to 7 days. This service is offered free of charge and is exclusively for Ikon Pass and Solitude season pass holders. Our goal is to facilitate bus ridership and carpooling by taking the hassle of equipment out of the equation.

For winter 21/22, the free shuttles that circulate between Solitude’s two base areas will drive on resort property rather than the highway. This will provide a more consistent shuttle experience and move our guests seamlessly between Moonbeam and The Inn at Solitude. It will also reduce congestion on Big Cottonwood Canyon Road.

As always, Ikon Pass and Solitude season pass holders ride the UTA Ski Bus free. We have adjusted prices for our paid parking to reward drivers who bring one additional person in their car. The top pricing tier has been split between 1 occupant (now $25/day) and 2 occupants (now $15/day). Three- and four-person carpools will continue to pay even lower rates.

Skiing with lift tickets purchased online is also getting easier with on-site fulfillment kiosks. No need to wait in line to get your day pass from the ticket office! Your online ticket purchase receipt will come with a QR code. Scan the code at one of two ticket pickup kiosks at the Moonbeam base area. Tuck your ticket in a pocket and proceed directly to the chairlift.

Finally, a ride-sharing app is in development, so stay tuned for yet another way to share a ride to Solitude.

Check out our getting here page for all the details. See you on the slopes next week!
