Solitude Bike Park

Mountain biking is the perfect way to access remote corners of the great outdoors and cover lots of ground. Solitude Bike Park is a new downhill bike park designed by Gravity Logic, just outside Salt Lake City. The first year added 6 miles of new trails, and trail building is planned for years to come. Solitude Bike Park is open 7 days a week. Mountain bike lessons and rentals are available at Moonbeam base area.

Brunch at St. Bernard’s

Start your day in the mountains with an appetizing brunch at St. Bernard’s. Ease into the weekend with a mimosa, bloody mary, or Irish coffee.

Live music à la mode

On Sunday afternoons, grab ice cream from Stone Haus and settle in for some live entertainment. Bring your own blankets and chairs, or dance along to the tunes of Michelle Moonshine, Megan Blue, and many more! Check the events calendar for the full lineup of music and summer activities.

Play the 18-hole disc golf course

Host of the Professional Disc Golf Association’s annual Solitude Open, the 18-hole course is open to the public and free to use seven days a week. Hike to the first hole or treat yourself to a scenic chairlift ride, and then drive, chip, and putt your way down. New to the game? get started on the beginner-friendly 9-hole course at the base of the mountain. Disc golf rentals, instructions, and scorecards are available at Moonbeam base area and Powderhorn Adventure Center in Solitude Village.

Solitude Aventure Park

Climb up, flip out, and jump around in the Solitude Adventure Park. Located at the Moonbeam base area, the climbing wall, bungee trampoline, and bounce house are great ways to spend the day enjoying the mountains from a different perspective. All three activities are included in the Adventure Park Pass for participants ages 4 and up.

Solitude Mountain Mining

Grab a bag of paydirt from Canyon Fever and sift for precious gems and minerals. Sluice box mining is located at Moonbeam base area, fun for miners of all ages.

Explore the natural world

Join Solitude’s resident geologist and astronomer, Rodger Fry, to study the rock formations and heavenly constellations that surround us at Solitude Mountain Resort. On selected Saturdays, Fry guides guests on an informative lift-served geology hike around the resort. A lift ticket or pass is required to participate in the full hike. When the nights get shorter, guests are welcome to peer through high-powered telescopes aimed at notable celestial objects. This all takes place on the Last Chance lawn near the Apex Express chairlift. Bring your own blanket and settle into marvel at the night sky. Check the events calendar for dates and times.

Catch a classic flick

Finish your summer day enjoying a classic crowd-pleaser on the big screen under the stars. From Jurassic Park to Space Jam, Coca-Cola Sunset Cinema serves up nostalgic action, romance, and comedy. This will occur on most Thursdays this summer. Admission is free. Check the events calendar for the full lineup.
