Here are the best all-mountain skis to hit the slopes at Solitude Mountain Resort this season.
Shopping for a one-ski quiver that’s ideal for our awesome terrain at Solitude Mountain Resort? Well, SKI Magazine kindly did all the research for you at their annual 2022 All-Mountain Ski Test, right here at Solitude in Big Cottonwood Canyon. Last March, SKI Magazine’s testers converged at Solitude a few days after a big storm. Conditions were ideal to see what these skis were made of as testers sampled the goods on soft groomers, bumps, and our many hidden powder stashes.
All-mountain skis are the perfect choice for Solitude’s terrain because they can perform mightily on any run, in all conditions. Whether you’re carving corduroy off Eagle Express, bashing moguls below Powderhorn II, or seeking over-the-head powder in Honeycomb Canyon, these versatile skis are up to the task. Over the course of the test, dozens of skis were put through the wringer, but only 17 men’s and 13 women’s skis impressed testers enough to make the cut.
