It’s been an unforgettable summer at Solitude! We welcomed back the Total Archery Challenge for its third year running and made history by hosting Utah’s first-ever Pro Downhill Series. There’s still time to sneak in those midweek rides and sunset laps before we shift into Fall Hours, so come make the most of these last summer days on the mountain!

Wrapping Up Construction

Thank you for your patience this summer as we worked on several mountain improvement projects. While construction is wrapping up, it may still impact what’s open around the resort. Before you come to the resort, please check the banner at the top of the Solitude website for information on possible closures. You can also check the Mountain Report page for the status of lifts and trails.

Summer Riding Hours Are Winding Down

We’re soaking up the last couple weeks of 7-day-a-week lift operations before shifting into fall. Beginning after Labor Day, our lifts will run on fall hours: Friday – Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. So, if weekday laps are your thing, make sure to get them in soon!

Twilight Nights: Last Chance to Ride Under the Sunset

As summer days grow shorter, so does our Twilight Nights series. Don’t miss your final chance to enjoy evening laps, live music, and themed fun. Rides go from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and these last two events are ones you won’t want to miss:

Tuesday, August 26 – International Dog Day
Celebrate International Dog Day with the Solitude Avalanche Dogs! Stick around for live tunes from Good Question and grab a cold one at Argenta Pub, home to Solitude’s largest draft beer selection.

Thursday, August 28 – 80’s Night
Our season finale goes big with neon, leg warmers, and retro vibes. Dress in your best ’80s gear for a chance to win fun giveaways! Argenta Pub will stay open until 8:00 p.m. to help us toast to a great summer of evening rides.

Weekly Summer Events at Solitude

All summer long, Solitude keeps the fun going with free outdoor movies and live music. Join us for Coca-Cola Sunset Cinema on Thursday evenings and unwind with the Sunday Live Music Series.

Our culinary celebrations continue into fall with the St. Bernard’s Dinner & Wine Pairing Series, hosted every other Thursday through October 2. Each evening features a specially crafted multi-course menu paired with unique wines, all set against the cozy alpine backdrop of St. Bernard’s. Here’s a taste of what’s coming up:

August 21: French Dinner with Chef Patrick Desvenain

September 4: Pan-Asian Dinner with Chef Marin Aguinaga

And a quick reminder that we are spinning Link for free all summer long! Park at the Moonbeam area and then take a lovely chairlift ride to Solitude Village for ice cream and pizza at Stone Haus Pizzeria & Creamery.

Thank you again for your patience as we complete construction projects. Again, please check our website for the latest information on what’s open and what’s closed. All the hard work is going to be worth it in the long run. We look forward to seeing you as we wrap up summer and look forward to fall!
