We’re having an amazing summer in the Wasatch! The air is cool and our summer events schedule is in full effect. We also have construction taking place. We’re installing a new snowmaking pipeline on the mountain, and new pavers in Solitude Village.

Construction Updates

Some of our events and construction will affect what’s open at Solitude. Before you come to the resort, please check the banner at the top of the Solitude website for information on possible closures. You can also check the Mountain Report page for the status of lifts and trails.

Signature Summer Events at Solitude

Last week Solitude hosted the Wasatch Wildflower Festival. The festival is a multi-day event put on by the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation, celebrating the beauty and diversity of local wildflowers.

This weekend, Solitude hosts the Total Archery Challenge. Archers from around the country will test their marksmanship on an exciting mountain course lined with 3D targets. The mountain is closed to the public during this time. Our base area attractions remain open, including the Adventure Park which has been relocated to the Apex Lawn.

The following weekend, Solitude hosts the Pro Downhill Series, featuring both amateur and professional downhill mountain bike racing. Our black diamond tech trail, Holy Schist, will be closed beginning Monday through the duration of the event. The rest of Solitude Bike Park remains open. Spectators are welcome!

As we roll into August, our events schedule continues with Solitude Summer Fest. Join us Sunday, August 3 for live music, food, vendors, and drinks.

Weekly Summer Events at Solitude

In addition to our signature events, Solitude continues to offer free movies and live music all summer long. Enjoy Coca-Cola Sunset Cinema on Thursday nights and the Sunday Live Music Series on weekends. Coca-Cola Sunset Cinema is cancelled this week due to the Total Archery Challenge.

And a quick reminder that we are spinning Link for free all summer long! Park at the Moonbeam area and then take a lovely chairlift ride to Solitude Village for ice cream and pizza at Stone Haus Pizzeria & Creamery. It’s a fun way to enjoy the mountains.

Thank you for your patience as we host special events and complete construction projects. Again, please check our website for the latest information on what’s open and what’s closed. All the hard work is going to be worth it in the long run. We look forward to seeing you at events this summer!
