Summer is now in full effect at Solitude, with cool temperatures, spectacular views, excellent dining, and fun activities taking place seven days a week on the mountain.

This season, Solitude has three lifts spinning: Moonbeam, Link, and Sunrise. Enjoy scenic rides and access to disc golf, hiking, and the Solitude Bike Park.

Solitude Bike Park is not to be missed! The bike park features five trails designed by Gravity Logic, with additional trails on the way later this summer. Stay tuned for the debut of our black jump trail and double black tech trail. We’ve got an incredible fleet of state-of-the-art mountain bikes in our rental shop, and skilled coaches ready to provide training.

Solitude Summer Events

Our summer events schedule is off the hook. Solitude offers free live music every Sunday this summer. Concerts take place either in Solitude Village or on the grass behind Moonbeam Lodge. On weekends we also offer free guided hikes and yoga. And once a month this summer you can gaze at the stars and planets through telescopes in the Moonbeam parking lot.

Upcoming special events at Solitude this summer include the Wasatch Wildflower Festival on July 14 and the Total Archery Challenge July 18 – 21.

Thursday nights are extra special at Solitude. Join us behind Moonbeam Lodge at 6:00 p.m. every Thursday for Coca-Cola Sunset Cinema. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy tremendous night skies and free movies. Concessions are available at Little Dollie’s. Lifts spin until 8:00 p.m. on Thursdays, and the Solitude Bike Park is open late as well.

We love our locals! Big Cottonwood Canyon residents and employees save big on food this summer at Solitude. St. Bernard’s and Honeycomb Grill offer great deals on weekdays. Locals’ night at the Thirsty Squirrel is a blast, providing discounted drinks and an open mic.

Summer Adventure for Kids

Solitude summer camps are back and better than ever. Your child will love exploring the mountains and making new friends. Weekly and daily sessions available, as well as transportation from the mouth of the canyon. Kids will also enjoy the Solitude Adventure Park located on the lawn behind Moonbeam. The Adventure Park offers a bungee trampoline, bounce house, climbing wall, and mining sluice.
