Solitude has been open for a couple of weeks now and we have most of our lifts open along with the majority of our terrain. Eagle Express opened on Thanksgiving day making it 7 of 8 lifts open for the season. Honeycomb Canyon joined the party on Friday and Honeycomb Return chair will be open soon. More terrain openings are expected soon and can be found in the Solitude App.

Solitude now has some new technology to enhance your experience on the mountain: the Solitude app. The app is a great place to access real-time information on what is happening at Solitude, including snow conditions, lift and terrain status, dining and events information, and even what gates are open. Critically, you can see the live parking lot status including the percentage full. Use the app to quickly purchase lift tickets, rentals, and lodging.

In addition to providing essential info, you can record the amount of vertical feet you have skied or ridden, and keep tabs on family and friends.

Another awesome feature – the Solitude app is patched into our webcams, allowing you to see what’s happening live at various locations around the mountain. Right now you can see still images of several locations. We expect full integration of our new live cameras added to the app in the next update. This includes views of the Moonbeam parking lot, Apex/Sunrise lift lines, and even what’s happening at the top of Summit. If you are wondering how crowded the parking lot is or whether Honeycomb gates from Summit are open, this information will soon be at your fingertips. Download the app today from the Apple App Store or Google Play

Finally, back to Thanksgiving… Besides skiing, another Solitude holiday tradition is providing Thanksgiving lunch to our employees. Of all of the things we are grateful for at Solitude, our team is number one. We had a fantastic Thanksgiving Day meal with members of Sales & Events team and Senior Leadership Team serving. Huge props to our Food & Beverage team for the delicious meal.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Keep an eye on those approaching storms and new terrain openings. Have a safe holiday and talk to you again in a couple weeks.
